Hello friends and family... I am very proud to report the successful dropoff of Sister Jody Jean Comte at the Missionary Training Center on July 16th, 2008. I am sorry for the delayed blog and of course pictures but someone was so nervous about leaving that they accidentally wrote down the wrong email and password. Jody does leave the MTC on August 4th, so get your letters and packages to her there soon. Her location will change along with her experiences.
In her last letter she informed us of her companions. She is currently with two other sisters, both of whom won't be serving in Tampa with Jody. She is the only Sister in her District as of right now, along with 5 Elders. She loves the food there and she is staying healthy with exercise. Jody has been preparing for this mission for quite sometime by taking Missionary Prep at BYU, also at Church, and teaching the Missionary Prep course on Sundays before she left. She feels very grateful she had so much time to prepare and has had an easier time adjusting than others. I am really excited for her but can't wait to hear stories from the field. Everytime Ryan and I drive by the MTC we yell, "SISTER COMTE" out the window. I hope one day she hears us. Thanks for all your warm wishes and prayers for her. She's doing great!
